Evergreen State–except when it isn’t

Approaching my 10th Autumn in Washington State and it never ceases to amaze me when the green hills start to break into brown, red, yellow and green patches. The maples amongst the pines blend in all through the summer in the evergreen state – but now the change has started.  I love seeing the pictures of Fall in the North East, and must make that trip sometime – but plenty of colour around here too.  This is just a taste of things to come…
